Now, here's where our tallow journey begins. It started a few years ago when I (Angie) found myself in a wrangle with a pesky skin issue called perioral dermatitis (PD). If you've been down that rocky road, you know the struggle is an oh-so-real test of faith. That's when my sister introduced me to something a tad quirky - tallow. Yes, the thought of it initially raised an eyebrow, 🤔 but I was desperate and in the mood to try anything!
The moment I embraced tallow, things changed. My PD started retreating, and my skin felt rejuvenated. Tallow gradually pushed aside my collection of expensive & synthetic face products and crept into every nook and cranny of my skincare routine.
Not too long before I was introduced to tallow for skincare, our household decided it was time for some lifestyle upgrades. While we always considered label-reading important, we hadn't explored much beyond that. But when we dug deeper into what we consumed and applied on our skin, wowza, we were utterly disturbed! 🥴
The more we researched, the more swaps we made for organic whole foods, 🌱 fragrance-free products, and non-toxic cleaning supplies, to mention a few. Tallow didn't sound odd anymore; it was more like a superhero.
